June 14, 2012: Cracking down on prescription drugs

Addiction to painkillers has become a major issue in Massachusetts – so much so, Blue Cross Blue Shield has decided to crack down on the number of prescriptions being written for painkillers. Patients will have to sign a consent form, go to the same doctor group and pharmacy for refills. Although BC/BS thinks it could cut down on abuse – others think it's a dangerous move.
